The Maxi-Cosi Laika*

Here we will be looking at the new compact puchchair from Maxi-Cosi. The Laika.

I was very kindly gifted this push chair and it has literally been a life saver. Here’s why….

1: It’s one hand open and fold system is absolutely brilliant, making carrying a child in one hand and putting the buggy up or down very very easy and smooth.

2: Once folded, it’s shoulder strap or carry handle make it super easy to transport around.

3: Folds up nice and small, not quite as small as some of the other buggies on the market, but it’s a much more substantial push chair when up. (Not rickety at all) This also means it doesn’t take up hardly any room in the car, which is great as we have done a couple of long car journeys and packed the boot up to it’s max, something we may not have been able to do with a full size pram.

4: Still lies completely flat for those nice long snoozes and Bodie has seemed to find it very very comfortable and has done his lovely long stints in there. We’ve also had Betsie in there on a very long, late trip back off holiday. Now she’s 5 and a tall 5 year old and she managed to comfortably sleep for 5 hours in there!!

5: Looks stylish and because of the grey colour, keeps them cool in the summer.

6: Amazing hood! Something I always look at when looking at pushchairs. I think the hood should always be able to cover the child and shelter them from the elements, well this does just that. It’s a brilliant sun shade and we haven’t found the need to have the additional umbrella.

7: Very easy to manoeuvre around, great swivel wheels at the front and easy enough to lift up and down the curbs (Like I said before it’s not flimsy at all)

8:  Can be used from birth (with additional accessories) We haven’t tested these bits obviously, but I would imagine it would have been super mega useful, to flip out and pop a car seat or a carry cot onto!

9: The perfect holiday buggy. Everything about this push chair screams take me away. We bought a little bag to keep it covered whilst in amongst all the suitcases, but as it’s so compact I wasn’t too worried about it being bashed around much. Like I mentioned before, the colour kept Bo cool and with the lie back function and large hood, he slept amazingly well in the heat.

10: Great for folding away when your in a tight space. We’ve found it really handy when we’ve been out for dinner, just tucking it behind a chair or something. I can also say that it’s going to be brilliant when we go down to London on the train.

It’s hands down one of the best push chairs I’ve seen around. I now have 4 different prams (a running pram, a big old silver cross, a stokke xplory and the Laika) I 100% love the Laika the most for the ease it has given me! No more lugging giant prams in and out the car and on holiday.  It retails at around £250 (each shop varies) but I would highly recommend this pram and it’s definitely worth the money!

I’ll also be popping a little video up on my youtube channel so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for that if you want a better look at it!
