I recently came across a post on Facebook asking for bloggers to review a range of skin care from Skinfix. Instantly I looked into it as we are a family that suffer with skin issues. After reading a little about them I knew I wanted to try the range out so got in touch with them.
We were sent a lovely box full of different products. We got a shower gel, a body lotion, a nappy cream and an excema balm. I was so excited to start using them. I decided that I would use the body wash and the body lotion as I have been really struggling with excema patches on my back, tops of arms and sort of around the area you wear a bra. I think because I’m also now wearing a bra at night, that is also irritating the skin more. I noticed it throughout my pregnancy and they haven’t really improved since Bodes was born. To try and settle them I’ve been using coconut oil and double base, which have been helping to some extent, but I’m guessing on reflection it was also the fact I was using scented body wash too!
Since using the skin fix products all my patches have cleared up and my skin feels amazing! I will definitely be purchasing the shower gel as I think this is a massive help for me.
I have been using the excema balm and the nappy cream on Bodie every single day. I would normally use the balm last thing at night just after his bath as I think it really helps to let it soak into the skin when he’s just lying still in his bed, I don’t think as much rubs off on his clothes then. Along with using his coconut oil in the morning the improvement in his skin is mind blowingly good. He is so super soft and scrummy and he was really starting to suffer with very dry, red patches on his knees and elbows, they have now completely disappeared. I will for sure be purchasing a lot more of this as it’s the best thing I’ve found so far!
The nappy cream is lovely also, it has a clay like texture but not so thick like other leading nappy creams. Bodie is pretty lucky in the fact that he doesn’t ever really get any nappy rash so doesn’t need a lot of nappy cream, but I like to apply it when there are any little red areas, mainly on a hot day when his nappy has been rubbing! It’s a smooth consistency that applies really easily on the skin, I also like that it’s in a squeezey tube as I don’t get mountains of cream stuck under my nails.
Overall we have had a really positive experience with SkinFix and I have been recommending it to my family members who also suffer with dry sensitive skin. I can’t wait to explore more of their range and it’s available to purchase at boots (click here)
