Our experience with Piccolo

We’ve just very kindly been sent two amazing boxes from Piccolo. The first box contained a whopping 30 different flavoured pouches for my little people to try and the second was a suitcase styled box all about the Mediterranean journey that Piccolo are about with lots of lovely goodies.

Fruit and veg pouches have always been a massive hit in our house. Betsie was a mega fussy eater from about 1 years old to round 2 and a half years old and pouches were sometimes the only thing we could get down her. We had always used Ellas kitchen pouches as 3 years ago there wasn’t much else on the market, especially in the littler local supermarkets and trying to give a child who doesn’t like food a different ‘styled’ pouch was like giving her poison! There was no way she would of tried it. Thankfully we’re completely clear of all that non sense and she now throughly enjoys them as a snack. She is also very good at trying new flavours and varieties, so when these Piccolo pouches arrived she was rather excited to tuck in. I have had to explain to her though that we are saving some for Bodie, for when he starts to try new foods and flavours in a couple of months and she’s okay with that! ha

We sat and chatted about how lovely the packaging was, I love how descriptive and into things like this she gets. She loved the drawings of the fruit and veg and the colours that they have used and then went on to tell me what each pouch had in it. I can safely say the flavours sound amazing, and I even want to try a couple!

In the second box was not only four amazing pouches (two for when Bodie moves onto the stage 2 flavours) but also some really cool other bits. We got a CD of music of the Mediterranean, songs which team Piccolo have chosen for us to listen to and enjoy together. They also included a little passport and a postcard which Betsie could colour in, along with some fun props and crayons, plus a pairs game which Bets loved and instantly had to play it over and over with all of us. Then lastly a quick recipe guide and information about their new flavours along with two packets of seeds to grow our own thyme and basil.

I was blown away by the generosity and thought put in to these boxes. They are amazing and we are definitely going to be supporting Piccolo and buying their range from now on. I can’t wait for Bodes to try the flavours. I’m sure he’s going to love them!
