We’ve just passed your 3 month mark and wow another month has absolutely flown by. It’s been a busy month, full of lovely happenings and days out, and on reflection we’ve had a really good summer, full of lots of hot sunny days!
So here’s what you have been doing over the past month…
You still like your routine, and the times haven’t really changed in terms of your feeding and sleeping routine. I’d say now that you feed every two hours and then stay awake for about 1.20 minutes until you become sleepy and need a cat nap of 40-45 minutes. It seems to work brilliantly, yes I have to plan our days and where we’ll be etc, but really it’s not all that bad, there have been numerous occasions I’ve fed you in the car…not whilst driving, but sometimes it’s just easier than trying to get somewhere. Also you are such a super quick feeder that it’s no bother at all.
You still sleep from around 8.30pm to 3.30-4am and then back down after 30mins until the morning. We have had a couple of nights of different times, but still only 1 feed in the middle of the night, which is fine by Mummy. You certainly are a little boy who loves his bed and have thoroughly enjoyed some looongg lie ins, which means so have we 😉
You still only really feed off Mummy and now I’ve gone back to teaching a couple of private lessons we’ve tried you on the bottle again, however because of having a bit of time off it, well just not needing it, you will not take it and we had the biggest crying fit the other week when we tried and tried. So much so that you completely wiped yourself out and really told Mummy and Daddy off for doing it. You wouldn’t let us bath you or even get you in your jamas! So yeah, not too sure how works going to go on Thursdays when I’m away for 2 hours! eek
You’ve grown lots again, this month mainly in length we’d say. You’ve jumped into your 3-6 month clothes and completely fit them so you’re going to be going into the next size fairly soon. I don’t think you’ll last in them until 6months ha. Your weight has increased but not like it was doing, so you’ve come onto the 50th percentile instead of the 75th, but we’re not worried at all as you’re the happiest little chunk ever. So recently you weighed…13lbs 9oz at 11 weeks old, then 13lbs 15oz at 3months old.
You are the chattiest, happiest little man ever. You giving beaming smiles first thing in the morning until last thing at night, there is never anything that really upsets you (unless it’s Mummy trying to give you a bottle). You never cry unless your hungry, but the boob is always on it’s way and we can’t really call it a cry it’s more like a wail telling us to hurry up! You love a good chat to anyone and you are really trying to copy our facial expressions and sounds now. It’s the best noise ever when you really get into it. You’ve also really started to giggle at us, especially when we tickle you. You seem to be pretty tickley under your chin and on your body, the giggles are just gorgeous!
You absolutely love to sit up and always have done. Your head and neck are so strong and you’ve been able to hold them up for a really long time, but now you just don’t want to lie down at all. Even when we’re changing your bottom you’re trying to sit up, pushing your elbows in to prop yourself up! We’ve found that one of your favourite spots is sat in the feeding pillow on our bed. You just love being able to look around and know whats going on. I don’t think it’s going to be long before you’re bouncing around in the jumperoo. Yay for my living space!
It’s just amazing how quickly you’re hitting milestones and how grown up and gorgeous you are becoming. Don’t get me wrong you are still our teeny tiny boy, but at 3 months old you definitely don’t feel like a baby baby anymore. You are turning into a cheeky chappy with a very cheeky personality.
We love you so much Pudding Pie!! x x x
