So September has been a really lovely month of weather and days out. I can’t actually believe how much the sun has shone, it hasn’t really felt like September at all…but now the mornings are starting out frosty I’m getting into the feel of Autumn, it does however make it very hard to dress for the day!
Our September has been filled with lots of family occasions, which is what we love the most. We’ve had wonderful weekends with Daddy, Bets has had fantastic days with her grandparents and just recently her Popsi returned home after a very long trip away. She was over the moon and couldn’t stop singing a Popsi song all day and giving him cuddles non stop.
Our first family event was the polo, right at the beginning of September. This has started to become a little tradition for us and what a gorgeous day it is. You’ll see a post all about the day under ‘family adventures’.
We’ve also done some lovely family walks. Our first walk was round Tatton Park with Daddy, Nain and Taid. It’s lovely to just be able to pop out in the car for 20minutes and end up here, it’s such a vast open flat area full of different deer and sheep. Again you’ll find a full post called ‘family days out’ full of information about the park.
The carosel is Betsies favourite part I think, she has to go on it about 10 times!
Betsies next day out was to Cheshire ice cream farm, Nain and Taid were looking after her whilst I was at work and decided that they’d take her up there. It’s supposed to be a really great day out, but for us it does take a while to get there. From all the photos I was sent she had a great day, and it’s somewhere we’ll definitely go back to.
The following Sunday we all had a day with no sport so we decided although it was cloudy to head to a local place where you can hire bikes and cycle along the river Mersey to Chorlton water park and then back. The whole cycle takes about an hour and they have the best little set up. The quickest and easiest bike hire I think I’ve ever done. You’ll also see that they had the best little bike seat for Bets, she loved it and thought she was really cycling. It was so lovely to just tootle along the three of us, and on a sunnier day planning a route to one of the local villages would be a really great idea. It’s just so easy as its only 15 minutes away by car.
We then had another visit to Tatton Park, this time with Hen. Daddy was working and fancied doing something nice outside in the sunshine. After our most recent bike ride being throughly enjoyed we thought we would go and hire bikes at Tatton, something we have never done and typically due to unforeseen circumstances to bike shop was closed for a day. Such a shame. We had planned on cycling into Knustford for lunch and then back. Hey ho, we ended up having a lovely time playing in the park and going on the carosel.
Our very last family occasion was Sebastian’s Christening. The preparation building upto it was making us all very excited. He was christened at the same church Betsie was and then everyone headed back to Alex and Jess’s house for afternoon tea and the most ridiculous amount of cake. It was fantastic, all the children were as good as gold and had a great day playing in the sunshine. It was a fairly long day for Betsie and Sebby, but they honestly couldn’t have behaved better. I think they love having lots of familiar but new faces to play with. I didn’t really see Betsie all day as she was just away playing with the older children. Very very sweet and some super gorgeous memories.
This is one of my new favourite photos of the three of us. My special ME AND MINE for September.
A very gorgeous month of memories and now I cannot wait for the next few months..I love the run up to Christmas!!
